Day 1 - December 17th - Getting on the Plane

     On the first day, we left to go to the airport at 4:30 PM so that we could be early for checking in and providing our luggage. In the airport there is was a beautiful piece of art that connects some of the terminals. It was interesting because we got to see new things and Mary Kate got to experience her first plane ride with her best friends! We got on the plane at 6:10 PM at the Raleigh/Durham International (RDU) Airport.
     The airport was not busy because we were on an overnight flight.  During the overnight flight to London, we keep ourselves occupied until we go to sleep. We watch  The Fault in Our Stars, Alex starts bawling. After we watch the movie we eat some pretzels and nuts while drinking some Sprite. After we eat our snacks, we decide to go to sleep because we have a big day ahead of us. We are all extremely excited to get to Denmark!
